I loved you the moment I saw you.

[Verse 1] I loved you the moment I saw you. You had a big smile and tight blue jeans. Your spirit glowed all the way through, On that hay bale, sitting behind the teams. [Chorus] We danced in the square, Not yet partners, but my eyes were fixed on you. Not yet a pair, I wished that dance would carry the whole night through. [Verse 2] The night was clear, the moon full, The stars were happy — I was too. Dancing like I was back in school, I was gliding, glad I was with you. [Chorus] We danced in the square, Not yet partners, but my eyes were fixed on you. Not yet a pair, I wished that dance would carry the whole night through. [Bridge] Oh, how a moment can pine, Longer than the years that pass us by. All it took was your hand brushing mine, And the whole world felt so high. [Outro] We danced in the square, And I still see you in that light. Now we’re a pair, And you have held me all my life. [Tag] I loved you the moment I saw you.
