[Verse 1] It starts with a dream In the back of a car On the way to the moon After Earth went too far The car rides a train With its destination sealed It floats over the cities The radiation fields [Pre-Chorus] I say "I don't care" I say "I don't care" I say "I don't care" And it's true I say "I don't care" I say "I don't care" I say "I don't care" But I do [Chorus] We were sleeping in the backseat of the train I wake up And we're there The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you [Post-Chorus] The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you [Verse 2] And I said "How?" And you said "Wow We've got a car and a house and some land" You looked at me And I saw we were free And I knew that we would never go back We have a plan You hold my hand I look into your eyes and I believe you Then you say "Every day's A new adventure on the moon" [Chorus] And the moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you The moon will watch over you
