--- 🇬🇧 English The house has grown quiet. Familiar echoes settle down. Two forgotten cups greet an amber dawn. In a hallway tired of children's laughter and noise, An old chapter hides behind closed doors. Faint marks still remain upon the wallpaper, Where a guiding hand once led us upward. The birds have grown, the birds have left their sturdy cages, Flying into the mist like pale clouds drifting away. We thought we'd catch up someday, we'd have the time, That life was still ahead of us, that the ending was far away. Yet every morning the dawn looked through our windows, Every day, every passing year. But we hurried down our narrow roads, Missing the turning of its light. For so many years we breathed the illusion of “tomorrow,” Forgetting that we were alive today. That light never left our rooms, It simply waited for us with patience. Do you remember the maple tree we planted by the doorstep, In that first uncertain and devoted year? Its branches intertwined with our endless worries, Guarding our home from storms and life's hardships. And yesterday, after the storm, it quietly bowed, Dropping its crown upon the warm and rain-soaked ground. Suddenly the garden opened wide before us, And through the broken branches a new day was born. We stood together beside the fallen fence, Where our faithful guardian had reached the end of its years. A forgotten coolness flowed through the sky, And the dawn revealed itself, the only true dawn that was ours. Strange how long we searched for answers, Forgetting to watch the garden dancing in the light. The house is quiet now, but not empty within. In this gentle, transparent silence, Time has laid down its burden and returned again, To you and to me.
