Why Do I Pay For This?
I've got my custom lyrics perfected, so I click on "Create". Two songs in the queue, I can hardly wait! I twiddle my thumbs as Suno churns and blinks, I'm thinking, will this be the one? NOPE! It stinks!!! So why do I subscribe to this AI service? I don't know... But I just burned another 500 credits with nothing to show. No-one really knows how AI works, but when it does it feels like it's magic. But when you're needs get specific, more often than not, the results-- Tragic. Listening to each new generation, it's easy to get your hopes up, Only to discover the entire second half's fucked up! Now, with a paid subscription, you can try to replace it, But that process is painful too, so I'm just gonna erase it... Fellow creators, remind me; why do we pay for this? I know eventually it will impress again... seriously though-- When!?! If I'm lucky and get a version good enough to release... I've realized that I'm the only one that thinks it's a masterpiece. I'm still adjusting to that... Maybe people just don't understand the struggle-- but it's real. Cuz writing the lyrics and structure is just step one of this sordid ordeal. Makes me wonder if real musicians go through this too... If so, then god damn... My hat's off to you! I never knew! But no way I'll disclose the total hours I put in, I don't think I can take hearing, "You have too much free time", again. Why then do I keep subjecting myself to this fight? So that one day a stranger just might laugh and click "like"? Yup! It's the little heart icon. Just FYI. You see, my goal is simply to entertain and delight, It makes up for the wasted hours when I think, hashtag “Fuck My Life”. I'll admit that's probably a little hyperbolic, I just picked that expression as it's kinda symbolic Cause I don't have free time for this shit! I do it because life is hard and this is therapeutic! So while I'm not at all musically inclined, Suno makes me feel a bit like a rockstar sometimes. (Even if it's for an audience of one.) This one goes out to Benja, Austin, Brian, and Kate, Wait who am I forgetting? Oh! ...and to James, and Mr. Fouchey! Cause when I tried this as a joke at Happy Hour last night, Despite my failed delivery-- It had a pretty rough landing... You still gave it a chuckle, the punchline notwithstanding. When I got home, I laughed at the situation, Then all of a sudden you became the inspiration, To write the lyrics to this song, including this dedication. But as you now know, that is just the beginning. By the time you actually hear this, should you find yourself grinning, Please hold your applause, I'm just glad you're still listening.
