But then a rift split open in space, and all of a sudden time stopped. People froze. Cars stopped. Everything—absolutely everything—was locked in time. Naomi was the only one who could still move. She tried to buy gummies and ice cream at a convenience store, but the automatic doors wouldn’t open. She went into a beef-bowl shop to eat her favorite dish, but the staff were frozen in place. “This must be…the Dark Lord Jack-o’-Lantern’s magic—‘Time-Flow Halt’!” At that moment, a gigantic Jack-o’-Lantern appeared. “It’s a showdown! I’ll take back my candy and beef bowl… no, I’ll take back peace and time!” Naomi challenged the Dark Lord Jack-o’-Lantern and, after a splendid victory, sealed him away. Time began to flow again. Halloween was restored. At last, Naomi could relax and enjoy her beloved beef bowl.
