# Next Stop: Sue’s Dreamscape [Intro — duck brass band warming up] “Where’s this bus actually going?” The duck driver points ahead. A glowing portal opens. “…Oh no.” **QUACK.** “Not the Dreamscape.” [Verse 1] Through the mist and purple thunder, Past the cliffs and silver sea, Duck bus rattling through the portal Like this happens regularly. Shark Island fades behind us, Stars begin to twist and gleam, Then the sign above the driver flashes: **NEXT STOP: SUE’S DREAMSCAPE** [Chorus] Next stop, Sue’s Dreamscape, Hold on tight and mind the door! Where the roads can move beneath you And the moon can change the floor. Monsters, ghosts and rubber ducks, All arriving two by two— Welcome to the strangest place, Where strange feels normal too. [Verse 2 — Vampire] The vampire grips the handrail, “I have one request today: No ducks inside my coffin, No portals, no delay.” The bus hits one tiny bump. He lands beside three ducks. One offers him a biscuit. He stares at it. “…Custard cream?” **QUACK.** “…Fine. You may live.” [Bridge] Past the glowing paths and gardens, Through the misty silver light, Dreamscape shifts around the bus And rearranges left and right. Skeletons cheer from the back seat, Ghosts are singing out of tune— And a duck conductor shouts, “WELCOME HOME!” Beneath a violet moon. [Final Chorus] Next stop, Sue’s Dreamscape, Let the whole strange world awake! Bring the monsters, bring the misfits, Bring the ducks for goodness’ sake. From Shark Island through the portal, Every oddball coming through— There’s always room inside the Dreamscape, And there’s a place for you. [Outro — spoken] The bus stops. Doors open. Everyone looks outside. Silence. The vampire squints. “…Why is there already a duck waiting for us?” **QUACK.** Another thousand answer from the distance. ... “Oh, you have got to be kidding me.”
