🎶 Song 123 – The Child of Promise
Paper 123 – Early Childhood of Jesus 🎶 Song: The Child of Promise (Verse 1 – Return to Nazareth) From Egypt’s land they journeyed home, To Nazareth’s hills where children roam. A humble house of stone and clay, Where faith and love would light the way. (Verse 2 – Growing Years) With James and Miriam by his side, In simple games their hearts would bide. A brother Joseph soon would come, Their laughter filled the Nazarene home. (Verse 3 – The Adjuster’s Gift) On February eleventh, two B.C., A holy moment came to be. The Thought Adjuster crossed the skies, To dwell in Jesus’ heart and eyes. (Bridge – Melchizedek’s Line) Once with Melchizedek it stayed, God’s wisdom through the ages laid. Now in the child of light conveyed, The Father’s will in flesh displayed. (Chorus – Divine Presence) The Spirit whispers, pure and near, A guiding voice the soul can hear. In Jesus’ heart the flame would rise, God’s living truth before our eyes. (Verse 4 – Curiosity) He asked of stars, of earth and sky, Of why the mountains stand so high. No answer bound his searching mind, For truth in God he sought to find. (Verse 5 – Education) In Hebrew law and Grecian word, The sacred scrolls his voice was heard. Aramaic tongue and prayers of old, A child of promise, wise and bold. (Bridge – Worship) No ritual words, no fear or plea, He prayed to God in intimacy. A Father’s love, a child’s embrace, Religion born of truth and grace. (Verse 6 – Festivals) At Hanukkah lights and Passover’s song, He learned the faith that made him strong. At Pentecost and sacred days, He walked in reverent, holy ways. (Verse 7 – Caravan Encounters) From distant lands the traders came, With stories told in many names. He saw the world in faces bright, A kingdom vast in Spirit’s light. (Bridge – Childlike Personality) With gentle laugh and earnest eyes, He loved the truth, despised the lies. A tender heart, yet strong in will, The child of promise shining still. (Verse 8 – Family Life) He helped at home with daily care, With Joseph’s craft and Mary’s prayer. In simple chores his soul would grow, The seeds of heaven here below. (Chorus – Divine Presence) The Spirit whispers, pure and near, A guiding voice the soul can hear. In Jesus’ heart the flame would rise, God’s living truth before our eyes. (Outro – Kingdom) From childhood steps to manhood’s call, The Spirit guided through it all. The kingdom lives within the heart, Where love and faith will never part.
