In Thorin's Master Hall (rock) M 301
[Instrumental Intro] In ancient times a spell was cast As eyes grew large the blaze rushed past While Elves and Dwarves mute stood aghast The flames consumed them all From far away they journeyed there In search of baubles bright and fair But silence kept them unaware That death would soon befall A fiery blast of blazing light The manifest of Sauron’s might Devoured them in their woeful plight That life could not forestall Mere specs of time it took to burn Through links of armored chain lucerne No time for warning or concern On faces quick to fall No scream of pain or last remorse Would save them from this deadly course And would just serve to reinforce The demon fire’s recall The liquid flame spread through the cave It freely took from sire and knave And stole the life from leaders brave In Thorin’s Master Hall In seconds only ashes stood Where evil pure, had vanquished good And all remaining understood That death had come to call This woeful tale is feared I’m told By huddled groups of young and old For fear the price for lusting gold Will wake and take them all. [Outro] [Ending]
