[intro] [snow falling softly, distant TV news theme, kettle humming] [verse 1] January 2nd - the world is wrapped in white No emails, no alarms, just snow falling slow and light The fridge is full of salad and last night’s cake I haven’t shaved in three days - don’t plan to wake [verse 2] The TV plays old movies with sound turned low A blanket fort in the living room, nowhere to go Mandarin peels curl on the coffee table Time stretches like taffy - soft, slow, and stable [chorus] These long New Year holidays… No rush, no name, no place to be Just silence wearing a party hat And me, just being… quietly [verse 3] Outside, the streets are empty - not a car in sight Only footprints leading off into the white Someone’s balcony still glows with fairy lights Flickering like stars in the pale daylight [bridge] I found an old photo - us by the tree You’re laughing, holding champagne… I don’t feel sad - just far away Like that was someone else’s holiday [midtro – memory swell] [sudden warmth: vinyl crackle → distant sound of NYE countdown in Russian: “…пять, четыре, три…” - then soft piano chord and cello swell - lasts 10 seconds → fades back to snow silence] (…пять, четыре, три…) [chorus] These long New Year holidays… No rush, no name, no place to be Just silence wearing a party hat And me, just being… quietly [outro] January 5th… The kettle boils again… [soft pause - fridge hum, TV static]
