My phone lit up this morning With a list of things to fear Bullshit everybody’s talking ’bout That won’t matter by next year Somebody exposed a conspiracy Somebody crossed a line Somebody said I’d better care Before I ran out of time Want my opinion? This is what I say... That sounds important You better get right on it Call somebody who gives a damn And tell ’em all about it I’d probably lend a hand But I’ve got nothing planned And I’d hate to mess that up And I’d hate to mess that up A buddy called on Saturday Said, “I could use a hand” He was moving out by noon Or at least that was his plan Said it wouldn’t take an hour Just furniture and a box or two I said, “That sounds important” And found something else to do Need a hand? Damn, I wish I could...
