Not I, But Christ

Yeah... Look around... Tell me this world's the same as it was twenty years ago... Everybody searching... Nobody finding... Till the Light breaks through. I grew up thinking everything they taught was solid, Now I see the cracks in the walls and the logic. Everybody screaming but nobody listening, Drowning in distractions while eternity's whispering. Truth got traded for a comfortable lie, People call evil good while the innocent cry. Got a screen in every hand and a war in every mind, Chasing after broken wells that'll never satisfy. Anxiety rising, depression in the air, Everybody wants peace but they won't seek it in prayer. We got knowledge on demand but wisdom's hard to find, The heart's getting darker while we're praising our minds. And I ain't pointing fingers like I'm somehow above, I've fallen on my face and needed mercy and love. I've wrestled with my flesh, carried chains I couldn't hide, Till the Savior met me right where I was inside. The world's shaking... You can feel it in the ground. But there's still a voice calling... For the lost to turn around. The darker the night, the brighter the King, The louder the chaos, the sweeter He sings. This isn't the end, it's the birth of a dawn, The Kingdom is coming, hold on, hold on. Not me but Christ living deep within, Making dead hearts breathe and begin again. All glory to the Father, every battle won, The Kingdom is coming, Thy will be done. Scripture said these days would come, Nation against nation and kingdom against kingdom. People loving self more than loving the Lord, Building bigger barns while their souls stay poor. Everybody wants a crown, nobody wants a cross, Everybody wants the gain but they won't count the cost. But the narrow road still leads where it always led, To a rugged hill where the Savior bled. And He changed me. Not overnight, but faithfully. Took the old man, nailed him to the tree, Started rebuilding what He wanted me to be. Renewed in my mind when His Word got planted, Things I used to chase suddenly lost their advantage. Now I see every breath is a gift from above, Every step is mercy, every heartbeat love. Lead me beside quiet waters when my thoughts are loud, When the fear starts rising and the doubts form clouds. Teach me to be still when the world's spinning fast, Anchor me to promises that forever last. Because the praise ain't mine. The platform ain't mine. The gifts ain't mine. The victory's Thine. If a life gets changed, If a heart turns around, All glory to the Father, Let His name be renowned. Worst may still be coming, I won't pretend it's not, But fear isn't my master and panic isn't God. The King who split the sea still sits upon the throne, And every prophecy unfolds beneath His control. One day every tear gets wiped from every eye, No more death, no more pain, no more goodbyes. The faithful and the true gathered round the Lamb, Forever in His presence just as He had planned. No hospitals. No funerals. No sorrow. No night. Just the fullness of His glory, Bathed in endless light. And every knee will bow, Every tongue confess, Yeshua is Lord, Forever blessed. For from Him... And through Him... And to Him... Are all things. Forever and ever. Amen.
