Hoglet round, small but fast Going on her hunting trip Through the dimming forest vast Little legs with a sure grip Sniffing low nose to ground Quickly picks up scent of prey Into burrows they dash round Babies run without delay Neath Mothers care they hush in place Snuggled up close together Hush falls as the wolf glides by Dangers aplenty—mother is clever [Chorus] Bristles bob through silver grass, Fireflies guide as moonbeams pass. Tiny noses seek surprise, Night unfolds before their eyes. Scurry fast now, scurry low! Now run, but stay quiet Swift paws gather grubs nearby. We won't be the Wolf's diet fill our tummies hurry home Don't stare at that snail, Pip! all babies back safe somehow All are full after the trip Sleepy now safe snug and warm The burrow melts like butter tiny hearts calm from storm All is quiet, no more mutter [Outro] All in a pile, tucked in so tight, Mama's breath warms our night, Big wolf is gone, boogie has fled, Like li'l pancakes we're stacked on leaf bed A last yawn, and comes a new dawn
