[build up – haiku] I smile on command, but the part that makes it real, was taken, not lost. (...they only praised me..., when i looked the way they wanted...) [drop – tanka] At the age of six, I was told, “you’re very good.” It meant I stayed still, It meant I didn’t ask why, It meant I didn’t resist. (...i thought “good” meant safe..., it meant..., disappear quietly...) [bridge – waka] Moonlight on my face, but I could not feel its warmth. Only cold cotton, cleaned up like nothing happened, “Don’t tell anyone,” they said. (...i didn’t even cry..., just blinked..., and obeyed...) [drop – kanshi] Long corridor walk, footsteps heavier than fear. I held my plush tight. No god watched me that evening. (...he was supposed to knock..., but he never did...) [hook – haiku] Cherry blossom day, everyone laughed, I stood back. The wind touched me first. (...i didn’t know joy..., only the shape of pretending...) [drop – tanka] A man I don’t know, called me “adorable, bright.” I smiled too early. It’s strange how fast I learned it, like my body already knew. (...they said “be polite”..., but my stomach twisted anyway...) [bridge – kanshi] My room is not mine. Everything inside is pink, but nothing is soft. Even the walls know silence. (...they made it cute..., so no one asked what it covered...) [build up – waka] I once loved my name, now, it sounds like duty’s weight, like a stage command, like a shape I must return, every time they open me. (...“kurokuzō” wasn’t mine..., it was the mask i paid rent with...) [hook – haiku] Mascara dripped down, before I understood shame. I thought I was sick. (...no one told me..., my body could cry on its own...) [drop – tanka] Mother, did you know? Did you see what they had done? Or was that my role— to take the weight in silence, your debt repaid through my skin? (...you left the door open..., on purpose..., didn’t you...) [bridge – kanshi] Body turned product, smile printed like a receipt. They call me “brave” now, but they bought my bravery. (...they only listened..., after it made money...) [hook – haiku] They liked me better, after I stopped crying loud. I learned to whisper. (...i stopped asking..., because no one ever answered...) [instant change – tanka] The one reading this, presses the page to their chest. No, they don’t cry yet, but they know the taste of it, they know what silence can do. (...you felt it too, didn’t you..., the hollow applause..., the aching pause...) [drop – kanshi] She smiled for you all, until the smile swallowed her. You filmed it, called it healing. (...they said “thank you for sharing”..., but they never said..., “i’m sorry...”) [outro – waka] Her shrine stays online. No donations, no live feed. Only her own words, looped softly through faded light, so no one forgets her name. (...i never got to say it..., but i wanted to stay..., a little longer...)
