Hollow Branches - Caoineadh Vigil

In broken syllables, she calls Beneath wind-gnawed skies — A bee-lance cry cleaves the air, Leaf-eyes weep, time dies. Her voice—ragged filaments of despair, Torn words drift across the mire, Eulogies without form, born of terror, As earth reclaims blood and fire. Veils drawn, mirrors maimed, Candles flicker in hollow rooms. Silent flesh rests on slate-cold boards— A crown of soil, bones strewn. Clock frozen at death’s breath, Smoke weaving memory and ruin, Hands trace the shape of absence, In twilight honor, grief unspoken, communion true.
