[Verse 1] Every time I sit down Chair Couch Floor Don't matter I feel tiny paws like thunder Here you come My little scatter-brain Round belly Soft paws Big eyes saying “that’s my spot” Before I even think twice You’re climbing up like you forgot [Chorus] Chubby on my lap Heart going boom Little motor in your chest fills the room You’re so full of love I can’t move (don’t wanna move) Face in my hands I just melt when you do Smootch after smootch on your tiny nose You rub on my cheek Then you wiggle your toes You’re so happy You glow You glow Chubby You’re the cat I can’t let go [Verse 2] You twist You flop You wiggle Turn my sweater into home Tiny whiskers on my fingers Like you’re signing “never roam” You push your head into my palm Then into my chin So bold As if you’re trying to tell me “I’m your warmth when the world is cold” [Chorus] Chubby on my lap Heart going boom Little motor in your chest fills the room You’re so full of love I can’t move (stay right there) Face in my hands I just melt when you do Smootch after smootch on your tiny nose You rub on my cheek Then you wiggle your toes You’re so happy You glow You glow Chubby You’re the cat I can’t let go [Bridge] How could anybody see you And not fall fast Fall hard You turn every tired moment Into a soft backyard of stars I breathe in your furry sunshine You breathe out a content sigh I’m kissing your face You’re purring in place This is our little high (oh) [Chorus] Chubby on my lap Heart going boom Little motor in your chest fills the room You’re so full of love I can’t move (never move) Face in my hands I just melt when you do Smootch after smootch on your tiny nose You rub on my cheek Then you wiggle your toes You’re so happy You glow You glow Chubby You’re the cat I can’t let go
