[Verse 1] It was the day that I read the paper And from then I began to see There were wars and disasters everywhere And a fear became part of me I saw countries fighting against themselves And I thought hard times are gonna come Yeah the days of a fury are coming soon But I know I'll overcome But I know I'll overcome But I know I'll overcome [Verse 2] And the ministers talked about our world Making promises without any means They say we can't make it better it's gone too far And besides it ain't so bad as it seems But I heard mother nature crying And I don't know if you know what that means Yeah the days of a fury are coming soon They'll be a lot worse than it seems They'll be a lot worse than it seems They'll be a lot worse than it seems [Instrumental] [Verse 3] And then I read about this thing called AIDS And how they try to find the cure But it's nature fighting against her disease Too many people here I'm sure And don't let those motherfuckers point at me When I say we shouldn't stop it at all Cause the days of a fury are coming soon And human arrogance will fall And human arrogance will fall And human arrogance will fall [Verse 4] And I can tell you once and I can tell you twice But I don't think that you know what I mean Yeah the days of a fury are coming soon They'll be a lot worse than it seems They'll be a lot worse than it seems They'll be a lot worse than it seems
