I wake up bright and early, reach to check my phone, But the screen just stares back at me— I'm utterly alone! No tweets, no texts, no trending memes, no messages at all, Just me, my thoughts, and silence— oh,the horror of it all! I flick the switch! No power! I tap my watch— it’s dead! The Wi-Fi’s gone! The TV’s black! The radio is dead: “Good luck out there, the world is dark, we’ve got no way to call!” I gasp! I swoon! I crumble! (I dramatically fall!) It’s the world’s most boring day! (Oh, woe! No videos, no pop-up ads, no trending TikTok hacks, Just sitting in this chair, and staring at the cracks! (Gasp!) Is this... what life was like before?! Did people just sit in parks and read?!? Did they—TALK to one another???! Did they—did they— did they BREATHE???!! I tried to play a board game, but I had no one to play, I wrote a heartfelt letter... then realized, NO MAIL TODAY! I picked up a guitar— turns out I don’t know a chord, So I sat in the silence... and dear God, I got BORED! The world’s most BORING DAY! (Gasp!) I’m wasting my life AWAY! (Nooo!)
