[Intro] (Congas whispering, a lone guitar crying in the distance) [Verse 1] She came dancing through the desert heat Barefoot rhythm on the dusty street Moonlight tangled in her raven hair Left a trail of fire in the midnight air [Pre-Chorus] And the drums keep calling, calling out her name Every heartbeat answers like a burning flame [Chorus] Soul on fire, let the rhythm take control Guitar screaming out the secrets of my soul Soul on fire, can't you feel the fever grow Dance until the morning light, don't ever let it go [Verse 2] Her hips move like the ocean tide Ancient secrets that the stars can't hide Timbales talking in a language old Every step she dances turns to gold [Pre-Chorus] And the drums keep calling, calling out her name Every heartbeat answers like a burning flame [Chorus] Soul on fire, let the rhythm take control Guitar screaming out the secrets of my soul Soul on fire, can't you feel the fever grow Dance until the morning light, don't ever let it go [Guitar Solo] (Long searing guitar solo, wah-wah crying over the conga groove) [Bridge] Ooh, let the music heal you Let the rhythm steal you Close your eyes and let the fire guide you home [Final Chorus] Soul on fire, let the rhythm take control Guitar screaming out the secrets of my soul Soul on fire, can't you feel the fever grow Dance until the morning light, don't ever let it go [Outro] (Guitar fades into the night, congas whisper out)
