Verse 1 From the beginning, we have heard, The truth assured, from the living Word. We have not seen, but we long to touch, The Son of God who loved us much. He came to bring eternal life, To rescue hearts from sin and strife. And now we share this joyful song, In Him is where we all belong. Chorus Walk in the light as He is in the light, Shining through the darkness of the night. If we confess, grace makes things right, Jesus cleanses us and gives us life. Oh, children of God, hold on tight, Oh, children of God, Walk in the light. Verse 2 Do not love this fading world, Its empty treasures soon are hurled Into the dust where they will fall, But God's great love outlasts them all. If anyone should stumble down, We have an Advocate renowned. Christ the Righteous pleads our case, Covering sinners with His grace. Chorus Walk in the light as He is in the light, Shining through the darkness of the night. If we confess, grace makes things right, Jesus cleanses us and gives us life. Oh, children of God, hold on tight, Oh, children of God, Walk in the light. Bridge See what love the Father gave, Calling us His own. We were lost but now we're saved, Never left alone. Perfect love casts out all fear, His promises remain. And when our Savior shall appear, We'll be like Him one day. Verse 3 Beloved, let us love each one, For love reflects the Holy One. Not just in words that fade away, But in our deeds from day to day. Whoever trusts God's Son has life, Though storms may rage and trials cause strife. And this we know with confidence: His Spirit is our evidence. Final Chorus Walk in the light as He is in the light, Shining through the darkness of the night. We overcome by faith and by His might, Jesus is the truth, the way, the life. Oh, children of God, lift your eyes, The King is coming through the skies. Outro Little children, hear the call, Keep yourselves from idols all. Trust in Jesus day and night, And walk always... in the light.
