[Verse 1] We walk in the path And not see what’s in front of us We look for plans, but we lose the blueprint that was made for us We look for answers to solve our problems And only gain more problems than answers We stay silent to stop the noise But instead we are tormented by the sound it left behind We want to stand, but we lose the ground [Chorus] Let the rain pour down the land And wash away the stain from the ground Let’s cleanse and restart again So we can have another chance to begin [Verse 2] Who can we blame? But ourselves We follow, but what do we gain? A lesson that was ignored [Chorus] Let the rain pour down the land And wash away the stain from the ground Let’s cleanse and restart again So we can have another chance to begin [Verse 3] Let us hold hands And sing Kumbaya around the fireplace Let’s talk about unity, equality, sympathy Let’s find a peaceful way of living Let’s restore life to its beauty Let’s sleep with a clear conscience Let’s look at the sky And admire the beauty of the stars [Chorus] Let the rain pour down the land And wash away the stain from the ground Let’s cleanse and restart again So we can have another chance to begin [Verse 4] Let’s grow trees and plants on this land Let’s respect the Earth so that it will continue providing Let’s live like the Native Americans To use every ounce of what the Earth brings us as food And not leave anything to waste Let’s not be envious of each other Let’s not poison the Earth Or the sea, or the rivers, or the sky So we can live long and healthy lives [Final Chorus] Let the rain pour down the land And wash away the stain from the ground Let’s cleanse and restart again So we can have another chance to begin [Final Chorus — BUILD] LEAD: Let the rain pour down the land And wash away the stain from the ground BACKING VOICES: Wash it away… Wash it away… LEAD: Let’s cleanse and restart again So we can have another chance to begin BACKING VOICES: Another chance… Another chance to begin… [Music rises — drums, strings, guitars, piano, layered voices] LEAD: Let the rain pour down the land!
