[Intro] Red in the lens Blood on the screen Infrared I see what you mean [Verse 1] Found that tape in the floorboard crack Dust on the case, spine all black Hit play once, house went cold Every frame looked wrong, like a wound untold Man in the hall with a stitched-up grin Girl in the glass and the room crawled in Every shadow had teeth and a name And my own face moved like it knew the game [Pre-Chorus] You can run, but it follows You can hide, it knows That red light on the wall It shows what the dark don’t show [Chorus] Infrared, infrared Show me the dead, show me the dead Infrared, infrared I can’t sleep with that image in my head Infrared, infrared Burning through the black in red Infrared, infrared If I look too long, I’m next [Verse 2] Basement stairs with a wet trail glow Old radio hissed, said don’t go slow I heard a laugh from behind the sheet Then a cold hand dragged across my cheek Lens caught a shape where the mirror split One step closer and the frame all bit Every door in the house locked tight But the thing on the tape kept walking tonight [Pre-Chorus] You can run, but it follows You can hide, it knows That red light on the wall It shows what the dark don’t show [Chorus] Infrared, infrared Show me the dead, show me the dead Infrared, infrared I can’t sleep with that image in my head Infrared, infrared Burning through the black in red Infrared, infrared If I look too long, I’m next [Bridge] They said fear lives in the mind But I saw it moving through the line One frame, one blink, one final stare Now it’s standing right there Say my name through the static Pull me under, make it tragic If the screen goes white tonight Tell my ghost I tried [Chorus] Infrared, infrared Show me the dead, show me the dead Infrared, infrared I can’t sleep with that image in my head Infrared, infrared Burning through the black in red Infrared, infrared If I look too long, I’m next
