Verse 1 Anchor’s up, the tide is turning, Lanterns glow, the drinks are burning. Midnight breeze and the sky runs gold, Our punch bowl’s deep and the stories are bold. Pre-Chorus Twelve grapes in my hand, make a wish for the year, Rum in the other, raise it high with a cheer! Chorus Champagne in the crow’s nest, rum in the hold, We drink till the dawn paints the ocean in gold. Laugh like the storm, shout till we’re free, Midnight forever on the rolling sea! Verse 2 Resolution’s sinking faster than the ship, Pour another glass, take another sip. Fireworks blaze in the salty mist, We toast every scandal and every kiss. Bridge (Call and response) Captain: “RUM!” Crew: “Pour it in!” Captain: “GIN!” Crew: “Pour it in!” Captain: “WHATEVER THAT IS!” Crew: “Pour it in!” Till the punch is strong enough to sink the Queen’s ship! Final Chorus Champagne in the crow’s nest, rum in the hold, We drink till the dawn paints the ocean in gold. Laugh like the storm, shout till we’re free, Midnight forever on the rolling sea!
