what if they got it right (live)

Verse 1)I look at the stars in the open night skyAnd wonder if someone is hearing my cryThe stories I read in the pages of oldAre they just legends that centuries toldWhat if the dust really rose from the groundAnd the voice in the silence is making a sound(Chorus)What if the Bible is all of the truthEvery promise of old and every hope of our youthWhat if the cross was the end of the shameAnd healing is found at the sound of His nameWhat if the grace that we doubt every dayIs the only true light that can show us the way(Verse 2)They talk about water that turned into wineA blind man who walked in the light of designWe mock what we simply cannot understandAnd build all our houses on sinking green sandBut what if the sea really parted in twoAnd everything written is perfectly true(Chorus)What if the Bible is all of the truthEvery promise of old and every hope of our youthWhat if the cross was the end of the shameAnd healing is found at the sound of His nameWhat if the grace that we doubt every dayIs the only true light that can show us the way(Verse 3)The prophets predicted the place He’d be bornThe king who would wear a sharp crown made of thornThe math of the ages aligns on the pageA sacred design through the passing of ageIf thousands of years didn't alter the wordThen maybe it's time that the message is heard(Verse 4)It says there is mercy for all who will callA hand that reaches to lift up the fallNo debt left to pay at the end of the lineA beautiful rescue by holy designWe search for a purpose in money and fameWhile the answer is waiting inside of His name(Bridge)It changes the morning, it changes the nightIt turns every shadow back into the lightIf death was defeated and left in the graveThen we are the ones that He came here to saveIt isn't a myth or a comforting lieIt's the breath of the Maker of earth and the sky(Verse 5)So I hold the book with a trembling handAnd begin for the first time to quite understandThe search is now over, the anchor is castThe first and the future, the routine and lastThe world is shifting but this will remainA bedrock of hope in the sorrow and pain(Chorus)What if the Bible is all of the truthEvery promise of old and every hope of our youthWhat if the cross was the end of the shameAnd healing is found at the sound of His nameWhat if the grace that we doubt every dayIs the only true light that can show us the way(Outro)It is the truthThe light in the darkThe fire and the sparkEvery word is trueAll of the truth
