[Verse] A prophet stands in shadows Sees beyond the now Gives God's words like arrows Declares what will come down [Verse 2] From a tired and weary land Hope's light through him will shine A savior soon will stand God's eternal sign [Chorus] Look beyond the present sorrow See the future's brighter day God's promise brings tomorrow In His light we find our way [Verse 3] A sign meant for the ages The virgin's birth comes true From the ancient pages God's love breaks through [Bridge] Beyond the fear and doubt A vision clear and bright The prophet speaks it out A star in darkest night [Chorus] Look beyond the present sorrow See the future's brighter day God's promise brings tomorrow In His light we find our way
