Give thanks to the Lord, for good is he, His mercy and love lasts eternally. Let Israel praise in every endeavor, His love is eternal - forever and ever. Let the house of Aaron, the priests, declare, His steadfast love is everywhere. Let all who fear Him lift up their voice, His mercy endures, every soul rejoice. In distress I called, and He heard my plea, The Lord set me free, gave me victory. The Lord is with me, I won’t be dismayed, What can man do for the Lord is my aid? The Lord is my helper, my strength, and my pride, I see my enemies fall on ev'ry side. It’s better to trust in the Lord divine, Than in mortal men, any royal line. Though peoples surrounded me, yes, all around, In the name of the Lord, his power abounds. They swarmed like bees, and consumed like flames, praise the name of the Lord, he silenced their claims. I was hard pressed, about to fall, But the Lord came quickly, He heard my call. The Lord is my strength, my song of praise, He’s become my salvation, in all my ways. Shouts of joy and triumph resound, In the tents of the righteous, victory is found. The Lord’s right hand has done mighty things, The Lord’s hand uplifts, His victory rings! I shall not die, but live to proclaim, The marvelous deeds of the Lord’s great name. Though the Lord has chastened, He gives me breath, no, He did not give me over to death. Open to me the gates of the Lord, I’ll enter and praise Him with one accord. This is the gate where the righteous will go, I’ll give thanks to God, who loves me so. The stone the builders once cast away, the cornerstone sits now and always. This is the Lord’s doing, marvelous to see, The day He has made, rejoice, glad-hearted be. O Lord, save us, we humbly pray, Send us success and prosper our way. Blessed is He who comes in His name, From the house of the Lord, all praise and fame! The Lord is God, He gives us light, With branches in hand, we worship aright. Bind the sacrifice, to the altar it goes, And praise the Lord, for His mercy flows. You are my God, I’ll give You praise, Exalt Your name through endless days. Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures, just as it should.
