Book | The Augmented Artifact Files (A.A.F.) | Case File #2 Augmented Artifact: Book Augmented Properties: Tethered Narrative Projection Class: Chaotic Neutral Chamber Containment: Chamber Cell 909 Status: Dormant Protocol: User must have clearance in order to use Description: The artifact appears to be a simple chapter book with a blank green cover, a slightly faded โ€œ?โ€ is seen on the front. The bookโ€™s pages however appear pristinely white as if untouched by time despite the cover seemingly tarnished. Discovered Location: Artifact has been discovered in a shutdown library near the town of [REDACTED], the librarian was having complaints of various โ€˜changesโ€™ and โ€˜intrusionsโ€™ happening around them only to suddenly vanish into thin air as if nothing had ever happened, leaving the library itself back to normal. Investigations say they found the artifact belong to a 7th grader who occasionally visited the library after school named [REDACTED] [REDACTED], but then went missing afterwards; investigations say they only found a โ€œgreen tarnished book with pristine pages and a faded question mark symbol on the frontโ€ in the back of the library within the [REDACTED] section. Augmented Properties: Artifact is capable of casting life-like illusions around it when read, as if the story within the book has literally come to life around the person reading it. The book senses different peopleโ€™s preferred story genre and will write a new story within itself to match the readerโ€™s preferred genre. Augmented property ends and illusion fades around the reader if the reader stops reading and takes their eyes off the pages. Procedures: The book likes to be read every once in a while for about 2-4 hours, the book must be taken to a safe room for reading before it is content once again.
