An emptiness unspoken The truth I didn't know I made up excuses and didn't let it show My walls fell slowly With each note of your voice An unexpected surprise Became my one and only choice A darkened journey You are the light The missing piece For my heart to take flight Cupid smiles softly As he watches with glee He knew love was not our plan It was our destiny Messages and sweet words A love language of our own Special notes and quiet whispers At last we weren't alone The nights filled with laughter And secrets that ran deep Words weaving together As we slowly took the leap A darkened journey You are the light The missing piece For my heart to take flight Cupid smiles softly As he watches with glee He knew love was not our plan It was our destiny Standing still Like a statue in a storm The world around me Moving and changing form Forever staying motionless As the sun rose and fell You've changed everything You're my magic spell A darkened journey You are the light The missing piece For my heart to take flight Cupid smiles softly As he watches with glee He knew love was not our plan It was our destiny Time stood still My chest about to burst Three little words If spoken could hurt Stepping forward Fears subsiding I love you No more hiding A darkened journey You are the light The missing piece For my heart to take flight Cupid smiles softly As he watches with glee He knew love was not our plan It was our destiny A darkened journey You are the light The missing piece For my heart to take flight Cupid smiles softly As he watches with glee He knew love was not our plan It was our destiny Falling in love was not our plan It was our destiny
