Todd (The Euro-Dance Anthem)
[STYLE: 90s Club Tight / Euro-Pulse] [VOCAL: Rhythmic, staccato, cool and controlled] [INSTRUMENTATION: 909 Drum Machine, pulsing synth-bass, no melody yet]

[Fast pulsing drums start]

[High-pitched synth riser building tension]

[Rhythmically - Staccato] I think I wanna be Famous

[Rhythmically - Staccato] I think I wanna be Zod

I think I wanna have a daughter

And I’ll name my daughter Todd

I think I wanna be a Mountain

I think I wanna be a girl

I think I’ll buy dirty magazines

And a trip around the world.

(Chorus)

[STYLE: Euro-Euphoria / 90s Diva House] [VOCAL: Massive, melodic, anthemic celebration] [INSTRUMENTATION: Shimmering synth pads, M1 House Piano chords, driving hi-hats]

[Drums intensify - 4-on-the-floor Kick]

[Hook] [Shouted] Oh, I’m flipping the channel on the cosmic TV!

I’m a neon sign in a suit of tea

I’m a lightning bolt in a jar of jam

I don’t really know just who I am!

It’s a psychedelic logic, it’s a pancake sky

I’m naming my daughter Todd and I’m telling you why

Because the rules are melting like a plastic spoon

And I’m whistling a tune to a square-shaped moon!

(Verse 2)

[STYLE: Return to Tight Club Pulse] [VOCAL: Controlled, monotone, rhythmic]

[Rapid fire percussion - 909 Snare rolls]

[Gritty vocal] I think I wanna be a toaster

I think I wanna be the law

I’m gonna grow a giant wing

Where I used to have a claw

I’ll wear a tuxedo made of bubblegum

I’ll beat a rhythm on a hollow beating drum

I’m a lonely spark in a swimming pool

I’m the only student in the summer school!

(Chorus)

[STYLE: Peak 90s Remix Energy]

[Full Piano House Chords kick in]

[Hook] [Shouted] Oh, I’m flipping the channel on the cosmic TV!

I’m a neon sign in a suit of tea

I’m a lightning bolt in a jar of jam

I don’t really know just who I am!

It’s a psychedelic logic, it’s a pancake sky

I’m naming my daughter Todd and I’m telling you why

Because the rules are melting like a plastic spoon

And I’m whistling a tune to a square-shaped moon!

(Bridge)

[STYLE: Dreamy 90s Breakdown / Shepard Tone Riser]

[Music strips to a pulsing bass and ethereal pads]

[Tension building]

[Chanted] Is it starlight? Is it weird?

[Chanted] I’m a singer with a candy-coated beard!

I’m the Alpha and the Omega and the neighborhood cat

I’m wearing the universe like a ten-gallon hat!

Todd is a lady and Zod is a bird

It’s the most beautiful thing that you’ve never heard!

[Fast drum roll - HUGE BASS DROP]

(Chorus)

[STYLE: Maximum Diva Anthem Energy]

[All synths and pianos at max volume]

[Hook] [All vocals shouting] Oh, I’m flipping the channel on the cosmic TV!

(Outro)

[STYLE: High-NRG Fade Out]

[Drums beating faster - 90s Rave finish]

[Echoing] My daughter Todd!

She’s the child of a girl-Mountain-Famous-Zod!

With a necklace of Pearl and a dirty magazine

I’m the strangest intensity you’ve ever seen!

Alright!

[Max volume shout] TODD!

(Todd! Todd! Todd!)

[Final explosive electronic crash]

[Total Silence]
