[Verse 1] I bring the check home first Lay it on the table Keep your world steady Do what I am able I see your tired eyes When the day been rude I want your shoulders light And your mind renewed Just let me hold you and kiss your forehead It’ll be okay [Pre-Chorus] I’m not here to play I’m here to stay Jesus in my steps Leading me your way When your heart feels heavy I will lean in close Learn the things you never say That’s what I want most [Chorus] I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you Jesus hold us true I’ll make you smile again I’ll pray you through the night I’ll love you like He loves And I’ll do you right [Verse 2] We open up the Bible On the couch at night Your head on my shoulder And the room feels right I want to know your tears And where your joy begins Love you with a steady heart Faithful to the end [Pre-Chorus] When the world gets loud And your peace runs thin I will guard your heart And pray for you again If your spirit trembles I will hold you near Ask the Lord to cover you Till the dawn appears [Chorus] I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you Jesus hold us true I’ll make you smile again I’ll pray you through the night I’ll love you like He loves And I’ll do you right [Bridge] When you sleep, I’m praying Hands laid soft on you Oil at your forehead Like the Word says to Every quiet burden Every hidden ache May the Lord bring healing As you rest and wake [Final Chorus] I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you I’ll take care of you Jesus hold us true I’ll read the Word with you I’ll keep my vows in light I’ll love you like He loves And pray for you tonight
