But if you express yourself — even clumsily, even recklessly — you might finally be heard. Yes, some people might react negatively. Yes, you might face criticism or rejection. But at the same time, someone who feels the same pain may hear your voice and reach back. “Shouting” and “dancing” symbolize that courage: the courage to be seen, to speak, to exist loudly enough that connection becomes possible. The room represents the heart. The noise inside is the inner struggle. But when the protagonist starts expressing themselves outwardly, the silent, suffocating “room” begins to change. The song ultimately says: “Don’t hide everything. Let something out.
