Easter - This Is My Body (v2)

[Verse 1] Upper room, the shadows fall Twelve of us around the table Bread is broken, wine is poured In the stillness, truth is spoken [Pre-Chorus 1] One will betray with a kiss tonight One will deny before the morning light Still He looks at every face With eyes of mercy, full of grace [Chorus 1] This is My body, given for you This is My blood, the covenant new Take and remember when I am gone Love one another as I have loved you [Verse 2] Feet are washed in humble grace Servant King in servant’s place Storm is coming, cross awaits Yet He lingers, unafraid [Pre-Chorus 2] Tomorrow’s pain is drawing near Garden tears and soldiers’ fear But here in candlelight we see The final gift of eternity [Chorus 2] This is My body, broken and true This is My blood, poured out for you Hold this moment, let it remain Love one another through joy and pain [Bridge] One last supper in the fading light One last promise before the night Knowing all that must be done He breaks the bread… and gives His Son [Final Chorus] This is My body, given for you This is My blood, the covenant new Take and remember when I am gone Love one another as I have loved you This is My body… This is My blood… Forever given… [Outro] Love one another… As I have loved you… This is My body… (fading)
