[Intro – Spoken, theatrical, mischievous] They say the Miller Inn has a ghost. His name is Hans Stender. And apparently... he's still entertaining guests! [Verse 1 – Jaunty haunted tavern piano] There's a piano in the High Life Room, Playing by itself in the gathering gloom. No plug in the wall, nobody at the keys, But somebody's playing those melodies! [Verse 2 – Playful, building energy] The lights click on, the lights click off, The telephone rings, but nobody talks. They say it's Hans, who once ran the place, Still keeping the Inn at his own peculiar pace! [Chorus – Catchy, theatrical] Oh, Hans! Are you still here? Making mischief year after year! The lights go click and the piano plays, Somebody's working the haunted shift today! [Outro – Music stops abruptly] [Spoken, deadpan] Is it haunted? We can't confirm. [Brief silence] But somebody should probably check the piano. [Wild, discordant piano flourish]
