══════════════ This piece is based on “Fuyu no Akegata” (“Winter Dawn”), a poem by Nakahara Chuya, one of Japan’s most celebrated poets. In the poem, Chuya describes six o’clock on a winter morning—when pale sunlight begins to break through and the blue sky slowly opens—yet his heart remains filled with sorrow. To express that sense of solitude and quiet melancholy, I reimagined the poem as a hard rock ballad, weaving in motifs from Méditation from Thaïs. ══════════════ Words by Nakahara Chuya (Original Japanese):
