[Verse 1] Born beneath a northern sky Bjorn watched the old world pass him by Son of Ragnar Raised to fight He carried his father's name into the night Ships upon the water Oars beneath the sun The sons of Ragnar gathered And the Viking age begun [Chorus] Son of the North! Raise the dragon sail Son of the North! Let the northern thunder wail Across the sea Across the land Bjorn Ironside rides With his father's blood And destiny at his side [Verse 2] He sailed beyond the northern seas Toward kingdoms on their knees Italy and the Mediterranean Saw the Viking banners coming Whether every saga tells the truth The legends all agree Bjorn became a name That carried across the sea [Chorus] Son of the North! Raise the dragon sail Son of the North! Let the northern thunder wail Across the sea Across the land Bjorn Ironside rides With his father's blood And destiny at his side [Bridge] Saga becomes legend Legend becomes song Song becomes a memory That carries years along [Final Chorus] Son of the North! The Viking age is gone But the dragon ships Still sail inside the songs Son of the North! The old gods fade from view But every northern storm Still remembers you [Outro] Oars strike water The northern lights glow Bjorn sails onward Where the cold winds blow
