Intro A stone in His hand, A hunger inside, Satan's voice in the wilderness Calls Christ to decide. Verse 1 The tempter said, “Prove who You are, Turn this stone to bread.” But Jesus saw beyond the hunger To the words His Father said. Jesus, You could have filled the empty places, You could have made the stone obey, But You chose the Father's promise And the narrow, faithful way. Pre-Chorus When my body cries for answers, When my heart begins to fear, Lord, may Your Word become my portion, Let me know that You are near. Chorus Jesus, I don't live by bread alone, I live by every word You speak. When the wilderness of sin is calling, You are all I need. Though the stone may stay a stone, And the miracle may wait, I will trust the Father's voice— I will choose the better way. Verse 2 There are stones I want to change now, There are needs I want You to meet, There are prayers that feel unanswered, There are deserts at my feet. But Jesus, You walked into the hunger, You endured the lonely night, And You showed me faith can flourish When I cannot see the light. Bridge Jesus, give me hunger for Your presence, Give me ears to hear Your truth. Let me trade the bread of moment For the life that comes from You. If the world says, “Take the shortcut,” If temptation calls my name, I'll remember what You answered— You are faithful all the same. Final Chorus I don't live by bread alone, I live by every word You speak. When the wilderness is calling, You are all I need. Though the stone may stay a stone, And the miracle may wait, I will trust the Father's voice— I will choose the better way. Outro A stone in my hand, Your Word in my heart. Jesus, You are my provision, You were from the start.
