Through The Clouds
20 years ago, I wrote this poem as a comment on a poorly crafted, melancholic heartbreak poem that was published in the Nightwish forum with an explicit request to improve it. I wanted to cheer the author up and sent her this "improvement". She understood my intentionβthat I wasn't making fun of her, but trying to tell her: Head up, life is beautiful. Another commenter then criticized my poem for being too optimistic. So I wrote him another (tongue-in-cheek) poem, which I set to music a while ago: https://suno.com/s/E216cnxgC8ZIUoI5 π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π»π» Drifting gently into space, Borne upon a tender breeze, Waking to a blossom's grace Amidst the fragrant meadow trees. A deep passion starts to rise, A surge of power flows within, Joyful, now my spirit flies. Like a songbird on the wing, Soaring high with cheerful sound, Praising sunlight all around.
