Hel Daughter Of Death, Queen Of Silence Feat Laetitia The Mistress Of Glam Rock
This song about the Norse goddess Hel was created in collaboration with my beloved Laetitia The Mistress Of Glam Rock. We’re both deeply fascinated by Norse mythology, and at some point we just looked at each other and thought: yeah… Hel needs her own song. Writing and bringing this track to life together was pure magic for us. Here’s the link to my beloved’s Laetitias Suno profile go show her some love: https://suno.com/@nightgirl23 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lyrics By Rikki Morningstar, Laetitia The Mistress Of Glam Rock -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [Intro – Whispered, slow] At the edge of shadow she was born, of cunning and love, of chaos and blood. Neither fully light nor wholly dark, but something between — forever torn. [Verse 1 – Narrative] Hel was the daughter of Loki, the cunning god, and the giantess Angrboda, forged of ancient blood. Fenrir was her brother, wolf of fate and fear, Jörmungandr the serpent who coils the world so near. Even as a child she carried the mark of doom, the gods beheld her — and dread took root and bloomed. [Pre-Chorus] They did not see a child, only the end to come, and their hearts froze in secret fear and lies begun. [Chorus – First] Hel, death in mortal form, half in life, half in decay and storm. Feared by gods, banished from the light, crowned in cold, in fate’s harsh rite. [Verse 2 – The Banishment] Odin met her gaze and knew her fate, sent her far from Asgard’s shining gate. Down beneath the roots where sunlight dies, to Niflhel, where endless silence lies. There he gave her rule o’er the souls of the dead, those who fell without honor, forgotten and fled. [Pre-Chorus 2] She did not weep, she did not plead, she took the crown of ice — and ruled with quiet creed. [Chorus – Second] Hel, queen of Helheim’s hall, her words are few, her gaze is cold and still. No love, no hatred in her decree, only balance where all lives cease to be. [Verse 3 – Helheim] In her hall the table is Hunger and Want, the knife is Hunger, her bed is Death’s chant. The walls weep frost and frozen grief, yet the souls find rest, a silent relief. She punishes none, she comforts none, she only keeps those whose journey is done. [Bridge – Calm, atmospheric] No flames like in later tales of fear, only cold, shadow, and endless yearn. For Hel is not the mother of evil’s flame, she is the ending — nothing more, no blame. [Verse 4 – Baldr’s Death] When Baldr fell, the brightest god, Hel bore his soul through frost and sod. The gods begged her to let him return, she answered calmly: “Let the world mourn.” “If all things weep for him,” she said, and tears were shed by stone and thread. [Pre-Chorus 3] But one refused to grieve, one denied the plea, and Baldr remained in Helheim’s keep. [Chorus – Third] Hel, keeper of the law’s true weight, even gods must bow before her fate. No vengeance, no joy within her sight, only order until all meets the night. [Verse 5 – Toward Ragnarök] When the horns resound and the world is torn, when chains fall loose and flames are born, Hel will send her dead to rise, against the gods, beneath shattered skies. Not from hatred, not from desire, but because fate calls — unyielding, dire. [Final Chorus – Epic] Hel, the silent hand of fate, she reigns where life releases its weight. Not evil, not kind, not foe nor friend— she is the end where all begins again. [Outro – Whispered, slow] When the final breath leaves the chest at last, Hel still stands — calm and vast. In the realm of silence, in frost’s embrace, she waits for all… without a face.
