Verse 1 She lies awake at night, pulling the covers up to her chin. Moonlight falls through the window onto eyes that haven't known peace for far too long. Sleep rarely comes to her. Too many voices from the past still echo in her mind. Verse 2 She remembers hands that once promised stability. Words that sounded like home. But all that remained were empty rooms and a heart that no longer dares. Chorus I no longer believe in love. Not in that grand promise. Not in "forever." Not in hands that truly stay. For every "I’m staying with you" eventually turned into a goodbye. And my heart has learned to protect itself— by believing in nothing anymore. Verse 3 She meets new people, new faces, new voices. But somewhere in her mind lurks an old fear, instantly tearing apart every beautiful word. "It’s only a matter of time," whispers the past. Verse 4 Sometimes she wants to trust. Just a little bit. But then images return of nights spent weeping until morning came. And her heart retreats once more like an animal hurt too many times. Chorus I no longer believe in love. No longer in that warm feeling. No longer in people who truly stay. I believe only in goodbyes, in broken promises, and in nights that are too long for a single person. Bridge Depression sits beside her like a silent guest. Together, they drink the bitter dregs of memory. And every time someone wants to touch her heart, the past stands there and says: “Don’t do it. You know how it ends.” Chorus I no longer believe in love. Even though I once wanted it so much. My heart is still beating, but it no longer trusts. It just keeps beating because it has to. And somewhere between sleepless nights and old scars, love has lost me.
