[Verse 1] Restoration ain't turning back the clock Only understanding what stands on the rock Looking at foundations others overlooked Reading with attention while the goose was cooked [Verse 2] Constitutions carry memories through the years Surviving changes, victories and fears Every generation has a duty to inspect The ideas and principles they wanna protect [Chorus] Restoration rock, restoration through law Looking at the evidence and what the records saw Building on foundations that many never saw Restoration rock, restoration through law [Verse 3] Campaigners gather in the documents and speak Presenting information to the strong and weak Public understanding grows one mind at a time When clear explanation accompanies every line [Verse 4] Scotland's future rests with citizens alone Not with myths repeated till they harden into stone Study what exists, examine every part An informed electorate is the place you start [Chorus] Restoration rock, restoration through law Looking at the evidence and what the records saw Building on foundations that many never saw Restoration rock, restoration through law ©2026 Trevor Swistchew.
