Verse 1 We were sparks beneath the neon, Running where the wild winds blow, With the whole night stretched before us And no place we had to go. Every moment felt like magic, Every heartbeat found the beat, We were dancing with tomorrow, With the world beneath our feet. Pre-Chorus Let the lights come alive, Feel the fire deep inside— Chorus We are young, we are free, We are who we want to be, Like a wave upon the sea, Nothing’s holding you and me. We are young, we are free, Lost inside the melody, Raise your hands and follow me— We are young, we are free. Drop Young and free, You and me, Young and free— Forever tonight. Young and free, Wild and free, Young and free— Forever tonight. Verse 2 We don’t care where we are going, We just follow where it leads, Living fast and loving freely, We have everything we need. When the morning finds us smiling And the stars begin to fade, We will carry every memory Of the promises we made. Breakdown This is our time, This is our place, Love in our hearts, Light on our faces. No looking back, No asking why, We’ve got forever— Forever tonight. Final Drop Young and free, You and me, Young and free— Forever tonight. Young and free, Wild and free, Young and free— Forever tonight.
