V4.5-ALL

The Magician from the aforementioned fact that the very regrettable attitude of the churches toward sex arose, thus appearing to condemn sex. The mystic or the occultist advises no one in this personal matter of whether it is time for you to try to raise the sex force. The time to attempt to it is when you feel that it is time. In the same way the occultist says that it is a perfectly personal matter when you think you should give up other things. No one else knows enough about you to insist you should undertake this process. The organ that the practical occultist develops is the PINEAL GLAND. This makes new brain cells in the Reasoning or left lobe of the brain. Unless the Pineal Gland is energized by currents coming from the sex ganglia, the gland remains as is. When the Pineal Gland is energized by the transmuted sex force, the sex force then is turned into nerve force and then into the WHITE LIGHT. The occult magic, as it is called, can be worked in your body and outside your body. The process is completed when an Adept comes into being; a person who can accomplish, to perfection, all magical works. If a man is a White Adept, he never uses his personal Will, he uses the Will of his Higher Self. He does not make the kind of magic satisfying personal desire. He carefully avoids this choice. Now we come to the examination of Reason. We all base our mental patterns or thoughts upon our observations. Observation is what comes to us through our five senses and our interpretation of what we get from them. “This is bad,” we say, because we found it to work out badly. “This is good,” because we have found it to work out justly. We say a man reasons badly because there is a gap in his mental process. His mental patterns don’t mesh well, nor do his ideas of cause and effect. The accuracy of our mental patterns is entirely determined by the alertness with which we pay attention to what is going on around us and by the alertness by which we observe what happens in these processes. Almost no one pays close, continuous attention. It is something we have to learn. Unfortunately, it is not taught in the schools. To pay attention involves three steps: (1) The first step is to see the object plainly, definitely, and functionally. (2) The second step is to see in what class of objects it comes; what it is like. (3) The third step is to see how it is different from others of its class.
