3. Banquet for the Sleepless
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ TRANSMISSION 03 — BANQUET FOR THE SLEEPLESS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ SOMNAEL decided, at some point too far back to locate precisely, that sleep was an inefficient use of the night. She was not insomniac. Not restless. She simply looked at the hours after dark and saw that they were the best hours — the hours when the most interesting guests arrived, when the conversations went deepest, when food meant most — and she replaced them with a feast. The feast has been running since. Her world marks time by the sittings. SOMNAEL strikes the Vigil Drum once at the opening of each sitting — one deep note that expands through the room and does not fully resolve before the next sitting begins. The accumulated echo of every meal it has ever announced hums just below the threshold of hearing. You can feel it in the floor. Or in the carpet, if the carpet is present. When WAT arrived the drum had just been struck. The resonance moved up through the carpet and into WAT's boots. Below, through the carpet's reflective surface, the feast was visible — a long table of sleepless beings in lantern-light, eating and talking with the ease of those who have nowhere to be in the morning. They have never had anywhere to be in the morning. They have found this liberating. SOMNAEL looked up from the drum and was not surprised. She had prepared a place. She always does. NOMAD was on his back on the carpet, legs in the air. He had assessed the situation and found this arrangement satisfactory. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━ TRACK DATA ━━ Duration: 4:29 | BPM: 181.5 (⚠ likely ~90.7 — ear-check) | Mood: Nocturnal, Driving, Perpetual Feast Album: Destination Paradox (Remixes) (2026) | Track: 3 of 7 Companion: SOMNAEL — The Eternal Host ━━ CREDITS ━━ Artist: GALACTICUS WAT Creative Direction: GALACTICUS WAT Music Composition: SUNO AI Artwork: Claude AI (Anthropic) / ChatGPT (OpenAI) Lore & Narrative: Claude AI (Anthropic) Project: Human-AI Creative Collaboration © 2026 GALACTICUS WAT.
