[Verse 1] The gingerbread men are standin' in a row, They're watchin' the tinsel softly gleam and glow! Nobody tells me where this feast truly goes! But I got chocolate smudges on my clothes! The platter's spinning fast, the rhythm's in my feet, Gotta get my hands on every holiday treat! [Chorus] Well, it's the Cookie Monster's Ball! (Go, go, go!) We're knockin' 'em down before they can fall! (More, more, more!) Got that sweet tooth rockin', and it can't be beat, The best darn rhythm is the sound of what I eat! I'm a jingle bell jumpin', I'm tearing the whole gingerbread palace down! Gotta chew my way to the best treat in town! [Verse 2] I saw the candy cane bark just sittin' there alone, It's callin' out my name in a sugary tone. The frosting's thick, the sprinkles gleam, beneath the Christmas tree light, Just one more crumb, just one more bite, then maybe just one more, before the morning light! [Bridge] My eyes are wide, my belly's full, but my mission isn't done, 'Cause when you're at the Cookie Monster's Ball, we eat 'til Santa comes! No time for manners, no time for grace, just sheer, delicious speed, The purest Christmas joy comes from fulfilling your sweet greed! [Outro] Oh, that sweet rockin' sound! (Cookies! Cookies! Merry Christmas!) The best track around! (We're eating all the sweets up!) This sugar rush is the best in the land! (Sugar! Sugar! Can't stop!) We achieved the cookie conquest that the future had planned! (Instrumental Break: Fast Piano Glissando, Drum Solo) (All together, screaming, layered and chaotic): WE ATE EVERYTHING BEFORE THE MORNING LIGHT! THE BEST CHRISTMAS PARTY, BURNING SO BRIGHT! GRAB WHAT YOU CAN AND HOLD ON REAL TIGHT! 'CAUSE WE ATE EVERY COOKIE THAT'S IN SIGHT! THE BEST COOKIE PARTY WE HAD ALL THE NIGHT! NO MORE SWEETS TILL NEXT CHRISTMAS LIGHT! (Music slows, massive final crashing chord) (Whispered): Didn't stand a chance, worth every crumb. (Distant Echo): Merry Christmas... (Final sound effect: Sleigh bell jingle, static, fading clock tick)
