[Verse 1] Little green bookworm, Going back to school. He’s nobody’s fool— Learning can be cool! He likes playing in the sun, He likes laughing, having fun, But when summertime is done, It’s time to go back to school. [Chorus] Read a book, turn a page, Every story sets the stage. Letters, numbers, words that rhyme— Learning something all the time! Little green bookworm, Wiggle to your chair. Pack your books and pencils— There’s knowledge everywhere! [Verse 2] He puts on his glasses, And opens up a book. There may be an adventure Anywhere he looks. Dinosaurs and rocket ships, Castles by the sea, Every book can take him Wherever he wants to be! [Chorus] Read a book, turn a page, Every story sets the stage. Letters, numbers, words that rhyme— Learning something all the time! [Bridge] A-B-C and one-two-three, Come along and learn with me. Questions help our minds to grow— There is always more to know! [Ending] Little green bookworm, Going back to school. He’s nobody’s fool— Learning can be cool! Wiggle, giggle, read and learn— Now it’s time to turn the page! Every story sets the stage! [Music softens] [Young boy speaks cheerfully] “Come along and learn with me!”
