[Verse 1]
Before the pulpit fills the room,
Before the preacher speaks,
There is a Word from God above
That calls the heart to seek.
Not human skill, not clever words,
Not praise from those who hear,
But truth that comes from God Himself
To make His purpose clear.
[Pre-Chorus]
The Word is living, sharp and true,
It searches deep within;
It lays our hidden motives bare
And calls the lost again.
[Chorus]
Let the Word speak, let the Word shine,
Let Christ be lifted every time.
Not by our wisdom, not by our fame,
But by the power of Jesus’ name.
Let grace be seen in all we do,
Let our lives make the message true.
The preacher fades, but Christ remains—
Let the Word speak, let the Word reign.
[Verse 2]
From God’s own throne the message comes,
Through Christ, the Living Word;
The ancient truth gives life anew,
The saving voice is heard.
We open up what Scripture says,
Not what we wish were true;
We point the hearts toward Jesus Christ
And let His light shine through.
[Pre-Chorus]
The Spirit presses on the soul,
The truth awakens faith;
The Word that once exposed our sin
Now leads us into grace.
[Bridge]
Ethos, logos, pathos joined,
But character speaks loud;
The life behind the message
Must honor Christ before the crowd.
Let love be more than words we preach,
Let mercy mark our way;
For hearts will see the truth we live
Before they hear us say.
[Final Chorus]
Let the Word speak, let the Word shine,
Let Christ be lifted every time.
Not by our wisdom, not by our fame,
But by the power of Jesus’ name.
Let grace be seen in all we do,
Let our lives make the message true.
The preacher fades, but Christ remains—
Let the Word speak, let the Word reign.
[Outro]
Not our power, but Yours, O Lord,
Not our glory, but Your Word.
Let Christ be seen in all we say—
And let Your truth transform the way.
Let the Word speak...
Let the Word reign...
Let Christ be clear forevermore.
