Crazy in a Clean Suit

V6

[INTRO] Yeah... Fresh clothes. Clean shoes. Paper crown. Bad intentions— lyrically. WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIDESIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! [HOOK] Crazy in a clean suit, Looking like I'm headed to a meeting, But the notebook in my pocket got the whole damn room retreating. Crazy in a clean suit, Collar straight, mind crooked, Everybody sees the outfit— Nobody knows what I cooked up. Crazy in a clean suit, Smile calm, bars rude, I look like I sell insurance, but I write like I'm pissed off at the universe. [VERSE 1] I walked through the front door looking strangely respectable, Pressed shirt, fresh shoes, expression barely detectable. Paper crown tilted sideways like a royal malfunction. Somebody said, "You look professional." I said, "That's the fucking deception." Because underneath the jacket is a notebook full of static, Every page packed tight with syllables getting acrobatic. I got consonants colliding. Vowels doing gymnastics. Internal rhyme chains running through the verse like hydraulics. You hear a simple sentence. I hear the architecture. You hear one punchline. I hear three levels underneath it. That's why I look calm. The chaos is compartmentalized. Every crazy thought gets alphabetized. Every metaphor gets sharpened. Every adjective gets tested. If the word doesn't earn its position, that motherfucker gets ejected. That's discipline disguised as madness. That's the character. Clean suit. Dirty language. Polite handshake. Absolutely ridiculous paragraph. I could walk into a boardroom and discuss quarterly numbers, Then leave the meeting and write a sixteen that makes the beat sound nervous. That's range. That's the joke. That's the magic. A suburban lunatic wearing business-casual camouflage. Paper Crown King with a vocabulary problem. [VERSE 2] Now the piano starts knocking like somebody's at the door, Bass creeping underneath it like a rumor on the floor. Snare cracks. I don't flinch. I adjust my tie. Then I drop a punchline that makes the room ask why. That's the theatricality. That's the whole aesthetic. Make the exterior ordinary. Make the interior kinetic. Smoke in the fictional atmosphere, light cutting through the haze, While the notebook gets abused for another twenty-eight pages. I don't need to look dangerous. That's amateur theater. Give me understatement. Give me a quiet voice with a line that changes the atmosphere. That's colder. That's smarter. That's harder to predict. The character can whisper and still make the whole beat feel sick. No screaming necessary. No fake intimidation. Just language. Timing. Cadence. Execution. I got the fictional .45 inside the character's exaggerated mythology, but every shot is a metaphor and every round is vocabulary. That's how I keep it cinematic. That's how I keep it lyrical. No instructions. No real target. Just fictional imagery making the verse feel visual. I could describe a parking lot and make it feel like a thriller. Describe a grocery aisle and turn a shopping cart into a lyrical chariot. That's imagination. That's why I don't need a thousand props around me. Give me one ordinary object. I'll find twelve different ways to make it mean something. [BRIDGE] Tie straight. Crown crooked. Shoes clean. Notebook filthy. Smile polite. Bars vicious. That's the contradiction. [VERSE 3] I got a clean suit and a dirty fucking thesaurus, Walking into the function like the landlord of the chorus. Somebody asks me what I do for a living. I say, "I make syllables behave when they're given the wrong conditions." They look confused. Perfect. That's exactly the reaction. Because the character isn't supposed to make perfect sense. He's supposed to be memorable. Paper Crown King is a walking contradiction. Cheap crown. Expensive vocabulary. Suburban address. Underground mentality. Clean collar. Dirty cadence. Respectable silhouette. Completely disrespectful statement. That's the formula. And I don't mean formula like something you repeat. Every beat gets rebuilt. Every verse gets rearranged. Every rhyme scheme gets a different fucking fingerprint. That's how you stay alive creatively. You can't keep painting the same picture forever. Change the lighting. Change the angle. Change the frame. Make the listener wonder what the hell they're hearing. That's the mission. So tonight I'm dressed like I'm about to close a business deal. But the only contract I'm signing is with the beat. The only asset I'm protecting is the integrity of the rhyme. The only crown I'm wearing is paper. The only kingdom I'm claiming is whatever exists between the first kick and the final snare. WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIDESIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE! And when the record stops— I take the suit off. I take the crown off. I close the notebook. Tomorrow? We do it again. [FINAL HOOK] Crazy in a clean suit, Looking like I'm headed to a meeting, But the notebook in my pocket got the whole damn room retreating. Crazy in a clean suit, Collar straight, mind crooked, Everybody sees the outfit— Nobody knows what I cooked up. Crazy in a clean suit, Smile calm, bars rude, I look like I sell insurance, but I write like I'm pissed off at the universe. [OUTRO] Meeting adjourned. Crown crooked. Tie straight. Beat destroyed— lyrically. DJ— CUT.
