WHAT THE BODY REMEMBERS [X SUNO GAMES ENTRY]

[ACT I — THE INHERITANCE] [Near silence. Breath. Viol. A hand touches skin drum.] Before they taught the heart to count… we knew when rain would come. Before they gave the soul a price… we knew what we were worth. [breath] My mother never wrote it down. Her mother didn’t need to. A rhythm traveled hand to hand— and somehow made it through. No book beneath her feet. No map inside her sway. Just something older than her name remembering the way. [pulse enters] There are languages beneath the tongue, older than what words became. There are things the blood remembers… the mind cannot explain. So ask me where I’m from— I’ll give you more than place. I’m from every hand before me that taught my hands their grace. ⸻ [REFRAIN I — REMEMBER] [Harmony opens; vocal remains restrained] What the body remembers, the machine cannot name. You can measure every heartbeat— still never touch the flame. You can number every footstep, map the blood inside my veins— but what the body remembers… will call me home again. [instrumental breath] ⸻ [ACT II — THE MEASURE] [Rhythm begins fracturing. Hidden subdivisions emerge.] A drum is only skin… until somebody strikes it. A song is only air… until somebody needs it. A heart is only muscle if the measure ends there. [silence] But measure long enough… and somebody will dare. They’ll teach the mirror how to speak. Teach the walls to breathe. Build a world that knows our wants before we know our needs. Teach us how to be—have… then call the pattern choice. Smooth the fracture from the rhythm. Tune the trembling from the voice. [low guitar pulse enters] They’ll quantify the sorrow. Put a market on the whole. Sell us back the pieces… then call the sum a soul. And maybe we’ll call that progress. Maybe comfort dulls the pain. Maybe nothing will seem missing… when we’ve forgotten its name. ⸻ [REFRAIN II — RE-MEMBER] [808 gravity arrives beneath ancient rhythm] What the body re-members, the machine cannot name. Piece by piece… bone by bone… something gathers in the flame. You can map the shape of longing, teach desire to behave— but what the body re-members… won’t remain inside the cage. [polyrhythmic break] Re-member me. Not the image. Not the number. Not the name. Re-member me. Put the pieces back again. ⸻ [ACT III — THE RETURN] [Metal, trap and ancient percussion begin converging] So dance— before they tell your feet what movement ought to mean. Sing— before they polish every fracture from the scream. Love something you cannot measure. Hold somebody without proof. Leave one corner of your spirit where the numbers can’t get through. [orchestra begins rising] Because one day your children’s children may inherit everything— cities breathing, walls that listen, every answer on command. And still wake up with an emptiness no system understands. They may search the stars for language. Search the blood. Search memory. Cross a hundred years… two hundred… just to find what we gave away for free. [ALL RHYTHM STOPS] And if they come— don’t give them monuments. Don’t tell them who we were. Play the drum. Let somebody dance. Let something in them stir. ⸻ [FINAL REFRAIN — REMEMBER] [Full convergence: orchestra + ancient rhythm + progressive metal + trap] WHAT THE BODY REMEMBERS, THE MACHINE CANNOT NAME. Let the drum disturb the silence. Let the broken voice remain. If tomorrow makes us strangers to the blood from which we came— what the body remembers… will call us home again. [Lead rises] Not backward— HOME. Not perfect— WHOLE. Not programmed— KNOWN. Not measured— SOUL. [Massive sustained note / instrumentation fractures away] ⸻ [CODA — voice, one bowed string] You can teach the heart a thousand ways to beat. [long breath] But you cannot teach it… why. [silence] Brother…
