Sparrow in a Hurry

[Verse 1] Little brown feather like a thrown stone Skips through the air past the old hay throne Cow lifts her head with a mouth full of grass “Did you see that?” as the blur goes past [Chorus] Oh Sparrow in a hurry Who you racing? (hey!) Darting through the daylight Never pacing Past the sheep Past the pig Past the sleepy old hound You zig You zag You loop around Sparrow in a hurry Who you chasing now? [Verse 2] Pig in the puddle gets a splash to the snout Horse swishes tail like “What’s that about?” Goat on a barrel tries to twist for a view Rooster just crows like he already knew (oh-ho!) [Chorus] Oh Sparrow in a hurry Who you racing? (hey!) Darting through the daylight Never pacing Past the sheep Past the pig Past the sleepy old hound You zig You zag You loop around Sparrow in a hurry Who you chasing now? [Bridge] Round the red roof Through the open door One wild loop Then you’re gone once more All of us grounded Spinning where we stand You’re a tiny streak of laughter Over this land (woo!) [Chorus] Oh Sparrow in a hurry Who you racing? (hey!) Darting through the daylight Never pacing Past the sheep Past the pig Past the sleepy old hound You zig You zag You loop around Sparrow in a hurry Carry joy through town
