Skin & Skeleton

V6

[Intro] Everything don’t look connected. That’s the trick. Different language. Different industry. Different problem. Same bones. [Hook] Strip the skin, Find the skeleton, Take that pattern where it’s never been. Different world, Same mechanism, See the structure underneath the difference. Strip the skin, Find the skeleton, Rebuild the pattern in another environment. I don’t memorize the costume that it came in, I learn the bones… Then I dress ’em up again. [Verse 1] First, Attention, Gatekeeper at the door, Can’t encode what you never really noticed before. Then Knowledge, build the library right, Not reread till it’s familiar, retrieve it from sight. Skill, now execute it when the pressure gets loud, Can you build from a blank page with no notes around? Reasoning, Strategist, pattern underneath, Not the words on the surface, what’s causing what you see? Metacognition, tower watching the mind, “Am I really prepared, or just feeling like I’m fine?” Execution, engine, knowledge into deed, Close the distance between what you know and what you need. Six domains. One architecture. Weak link leaks, Whole system fractures. You’re not studying harder, You’re redesigning the learner. [Verse 2] Thermostat, management, Different appearance, Both use feedback correcting interference. Evolution, A/B test, Different vocabulary, Variation, selection, replication carries. Compound interest, habits over time, Small repeated inputs make the output climb. Chemistry activation, Sales hesitation, Lower starting friction, increase initiation. Now we talking isomorphism, Not “kinda looks the same,” Map the actual mechanism, Not a metaphor with a name. Skin is context. Skeleton is law. Surface makes you separate, Structure makes you cross. [Break] Don’t tell me business is war. Too broad. Show me the flanking mechanism. Don’t tell me life is a journey. That’s poetry. Show me the variables. [Verse 3] Pick the source. Strip the nouns. Take the jargon out. If an alien heard your definition, Could they figure it out? Now choose a distant target, Somewhere strange, somewhere new, Ask where that same architecture is operating too. Then re-skin. Map it. But don’t stop there. Reverse every variable, See if the structure stays square. Can the source predict the target? Can the old solution work? If the mechanics fall apart, Then you never found the structure. That’s the Remix Drill. Source. Strip. Re-skin. Check. Not a clever comparison, Structural connect. [Bridge] The learner sees subjects. The Architect sees systems. The learner sees a thousand separate problems. The Architect sees rhythms. Feedback loops. Thresholds. Networks. Selection. Power laws. Signals. Constraints. Connections. Whole world changing clothes, But the bones keep showing. Once you know what you’re looking for… You can’t stop knowing. [Verse 4] Here’s the paradox in the age of AI, Infinite information, answers multiplying. If the machine does every struggle, Every synthesis, every thought, You can own all the answers And have learned almost naught. So retrieve before rereading. Predict before reveal. Explain it without jargon Till the mechanism feels real. Interleave it. Stress it. Get it wrong. Correct. Build a mind that can retrieve it When the environment’s a wreck. Far Transfer ain’t magic. Spontaneous is rare. That’s exactly why we train it, Put deliberate practice there. Teach the brain the hint Till the hint becomes instinct: “Where else does this pattern live?” Now think. [Final Hook] Strip the skin! Find the skeleton! Take that pattern where it’s never been! Different world! Same mechanism! See the structure underneath the difference! Attention. Knowledge. Skill. Reasoning. Meta. Execution. Build the architecture. Then make the connection. I don’t memorize the costume that it came in, I learn the bones… Then I dress ’em up again. Different skin. Same bones. Different world. Same code. Far Transfer.
