Snow is falling on the wires Something’s moving in the light Candy canes and glowing eyes Rules are written in the night Laughing echoes in the room Time is bending much too soon Hear the clock begin to call Ticking closer to the wall Don’t eat after midnight Don’t break the silent rule Jingle bells are shaking Something wicked feels amused Stockings filled with secrets now Footsteps dancing on the ground Every laugh hides something strange Holiday rearranged Hear the clock begin to call Ticking louder through it all Don’t eat after midnight Don’t cross the line of time Christmas lights are blinking Like a mischievous sign Round and round the hours spin Smiles too wide, too many grins Don’t eat after midnight When the bells begin to chime Joy and chaos dancing In this twisted Christmas time Midnight knows our name
